Torch

Just learned of the passing of Don West in Fairbanks a couple days ago. Don worked the FSS in Kotzebue, and was the voice at the other end of the radio keeping us air taxi drivers safe, and helped us get home when the weather tried to kill us.

Godspeed...

Re: Torch

Gump,
Sad to hear. I never met Dnn but as with others on these sites, we 'know' our fellow flyers through these sights and feel we have a connection to them because of it.
Rest in peace Don. Prayers go out for his family in this time of sorrow.

Yep, there's always a few "names" that you click & read, no matter WHAT the topic is. Torch was one who always made my interest peak when I saw his post.
All the best to his family, and the mofowkers can now relax.

(he used to catch/release BIG mofowkers) :)
