Not in the backcountry yet, but soon.
Pretty impressed with the short field performance of the Nanchang, getting off the first 1200ft exit not a problem.
Currently based at a 5,000ft airport very wide ,but will move to a 2800ft 22ft not so wide airport.
So practicing to be precise .
Lenght wise wont be a problem, but 22ft it is narrow so trying to minimize the flare, since the nose blocks the view.
What I am trying to do is being centered before flare and once nose high and blind look to the sides.
Any tips on narrow blind landings are welcomed.(crosswinds will be very challenging)
