I bought a gopro hero7 last winter/spring when they had a promo on it for a good price. The stabilized video is what enticed me. I'm not a photographer, or technical in any manor relating to videos/pictures. Had not touched it since I bought it but the other day I had to do 2 loads of people out of a little lodge strip across the lake and thought it could be my chance to try it out. I tried some clips on wide angle mode and some on linear. I have not decided what I prefer. I really like the stabilization. Not a gimbal so it still moves with the plane on the macro level, but runway bumps are smoother, no major vibrations - I like it. Guess I should get one of those prop filters, but not sure how well the plane will fly without a prop. I discovered that Windows 10 has a "Video Editor" program built in so I used that to make the video. When I outputted the video it asked me what format - small, medium, or large. That's all. No description of each resolution or frame rate. Small, medium, or large. I went medium. Turns out it's 720p. Adequate.
Disclaimer: I am NOT a Big Tire Cowboy, Fat Tire Cowboy, or Small Tire Cowboy, I was not invited to Oshkosh STOL demo, nor do I have any YouTube followers. It pains me to say I'm not even affiliated with Ohio Bush Planes (wish I was). But damn it feels good to get paid for this stuff.
If someone correctly guesses the airplane make/model I'll donate $12.34 to the fool's errand that is BCP. I would wager that it's the only one of it's type working part 135.
