That one is remote to say the least. Wherever you find a wet spot in Nevada, you'll find people. Looks like they are digging a hole too.

Lots of placer gold mining was done in that area. Very little water and it gets cold so they didn't work much during winter months. The airstrip is at 7000' and it is cold now. You can take a little tour of that area by going from Tule down to Gold Point. They have a good airstrip and residents are nice.

I borrowed a GoPro GDH30 from a friend. It a old one and takes 512 X 348 video. I think it looks pretty good but it is not even close to the quality of even my phone when they are mounted in the same position. The phone is 720P. The field of view with this older GoPro is 120 degrees which I think is wide enough. You can see in the video it has its own mount in the video. My phone is more like 60 degrees. It looks like I had better get a Drift and use a strut mount. That's all I need is another camera.

My wife would agree. They sure are nice. They even put the seat down on the toilet.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
