unknown airstrip south of Grangeville, ID

I just spotted it today while flying down the Salmon River. It's about 10 miles S of Grangeville, 5 miles E of White Bird. It looks like it's within the National Forest boundary. It's up on top of a ridge running E-W, only 750 ft long, but a pretty good gradient so effective length is longer.

Lat/long coordinates are 45.7758, -116.1800 .

It's not listed on shortfield.com. Does anyone know anything about it?

I found it on google earth but don't know anything about it. Looks like a neat spot and from looking at the google earth timeline it's only been there for a few years. It looks like it drops 100 feet over the 750 length. I'll have to look at that next time I'm that way.

Hmm, I've got a buddy that has property just east of White Bird. I'll ask and see if he knows. He doesn't have a plane and he said his property isn't very flat, so I believe it's not his.

It takes a big man to cry. But it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Ha, good name for it, that ridge is definitely a pinnacle. It looks like he's living the dream. Thanks!

It was put in by Bennett Lumber a couple of years ago. Looks like it has been sold to the gentleman mentioned above.
