Earlier in the week we reported that the Hidden Splendor Airstrip may have been damaged. It turns out this was not the case. The Price office of the BLM received a report that the Hidden Splendor Landing Strip had been damaged and promptly passed on the information to us. They had not been out to the airstrip to verify the damage yet. In the interests of safety we passed on the information to you. A UBCP board member went out the next day to check on the strip. He walked it from end to end and found it to be in excellent condition. UBCP member Lavar Wells also went to inspect the strip and reported it was in fine condition.
The Mineral Canyon Airstrip was also inspected and found to be almost entirely under water from the flooding river. Look for more details and photos in the next UBCP newsletter
