Re: Vargas Island Maule

Love the video thanks for posting it.

You put a lot of work and effort into it. Very nice production. The motor makes a great soundtrack but I was expecting some excellent Canadain flavored rock and roll... :P

You are quite the pilot, nice work up there. Beautiful place. Glad you and the plane are enjoying yourselves ;-)

Re: Vargas Island Maule

Vargas Island seems a bit off the beaten path, but what a wonderful spot to visit! In looking at the map, I was surprised how far the Tofino Airport is from the town of Tofino. There isn't any walking to town from the runway! I've spent some time kayaking in the Broken Group, but haven't ever been to the islands or towns on the west coast of Vancouver Island. I obviously need to fix that oversight!

Vargas is still on my to do list.. looks like you had fun. This summer was a write off for me.. too much fixing planes, not enough flying them.

Re: Vargas Island Maule

Thanks! It's amazing to have that spot all to yourself.

I excluded music because half the flying videos I watch I have to mute the sound because I can't stand the music! It's a turn off if you don't like the song. And I know not everybody likes what I like so why not keep it neutral and have the best sound of all as the soundtrack, the sounds created when we fly? :)

Re: Vargas Island Maule

Great video and a great bunch of videos you have on Youtube. I see your Maule all the time when I drive past the Fort, I farm just down the road. It showed up right when I was looking for planes and I've always wanted to check it out, was seriously considering a Maule at the time. I bought a C180 in the meantime though and every time I drive by and see someone with the plane it seems like I have a load of cattle on or something so I've never stopped to say hi. Nice plane.
