Video: custom Super Pacer

I found this video very interesting, from a homebuilders perspective.

Sounds a little heavy, from what's described and watching a video of the take-off, probably should have just bought a Maule (or BH?)

But still very, very cool. Duncan's Super Maule got me looking for other Super builds :)

Haha love it phil!

I tend to agree however, does make you wonder if it is really all worth given what other options are out there. Though as a pacer lover im still a fan

Cool airplane. Along the lines of a 235/260 Maule or Bearhawk. But I really wish that whoever narrates videos like this one would write up a little script for themselves. It gets old really quick listening to "uh" or hearing the same thing repeated - sometimes more than once. They could have run through the airplane's features a little quicker, and had time to show a high-performance takeoff..which is what something like this is all about. Kinda funny at the end where he invites anyone to come check out the airplane....then says serious buyers only, no tire kickers. And another comment, something along the lines of "if you don't have the money to buy something like this, don't bother asking the price." was pretty snide.

Battson, where'd you see the takeoff video? I searched but only found one of Steve Pierce testing some other slotted wings on a PA-20

The same Youtube user had some cockpit video - but it was crumby. You could see enough to tell it needed a lot more runway than a 260hp Bearhawk.

I picked up on that too. Pretty snarky. To that point I'd say "hey, if you don't have any communications or marketing skills, don't bother trying to sell an airplane." :D

Funny thing, there are people in our community that could write a check for that plane any day of the week. You can't read a book by its cover. Having said that, and a pacer being my first plane, I do like the concept. Probably flies really well. Not to be snide myself though, Maule has had those bases pretty much covered for decades. 260 Horse Maule is pretty much the definitive plane in that space....and certified, factory support, community support, etc. Does most everything really well and nothing poorly.
