Wanted: Maule Mechanic in the NW Minnesota Area

I am looking at buying a Maule located in the NW part of Minnesota. I would like to have a Maule mechanic do a pre-buy for me. Or at the very least a good mechanic someone has experience with.

thanks,

maulewaco,

Park Rapids Aviation http://www.parkrapidsaviation.com/ is located in north-west Mn. The have a large mechanics shop, paint shop and are the main distributor for Aerocet floats. They have worked on my 185 for the last 4 years, having installed my Aerocet floats, added WingX extensions, VG's, new prop and touch up paint among other things. Their work has been excellent and they have been good to work with. In my opinion they are a shop that puts out quality work. I have used several good shops over the years and some not so good, but theirs is one of the better ones. The best person to talk to is the shop foreman, his name is Toby. I would guess some other guys from down that way, will chime in here and give their thoughts also.

"Tom" in Hibbing is also a very knowledgable guy. Very thorough and a nice guy.
If I remember correctly he spent several years in Alaska working on lots of different "bush" type planes before moving back to MN.

Lowell Miller in Crookston is a great mechanic, experienced on a lot of airplane types. The airport number is 281 2625
