Water assisted take-off

Ok, just when I thought nailing a water assisted landing showed you were pretty handy with an airplane, this guy pulls off a couple really cool water assisted take offs!
And this ain't no light weight cub either watch past the landing to the take off...

It looks to me like he's landing on a beach. I would guess that the wet sand is a little harder than the dry sand.
