"West" Circuit flying

Meet up with several BCPers in Lodi for breakfast and we were off.

Landed at some great spots and then made it home by 2pm. Good times!

Re: "West" Circuit flying

The sequence is pretty cool Rob... Had know idea it was your birthday man! Nice way to spend the day! Happy belated!

That was a fun approach though. Its fun to go back and re-live it. Thinking about slip down into the river to get down over the trees quickly and then touching down on the water and running it for a bit. Once you have the snags in sight on the bend you add a bit of left rudder to make the big slow left turn and chop the power 15' from the beach to roll out a 100'. Damn....I could do that all day....I guess we did for most of it anyhow.

Sorry Emmet, it was kind of a last minute deal. We need to plan another one of these for late September maybe? It would be cool to bring a grill and some food and have a BBQ on the river after a morning of flying. Did they let you put some bushwheels on the club S-7?

No bush wheels. Just 800's. I put a larger Tailwheel on. but you can go quite a few places in an S7 on 800s!

Re: "West" Circuit flying

Great shots, everyone; looks like an awesome way to spend the weekend!

It looks as if Wilgas are becoming more popular with the BCP crowd; how are they to fly?

Thanks!
