What PSI for 26" Goodyears?
Share tips, techniques, or anything else related to flying.
I'm still flying off my 40 hours of Phase 1 flight testing in my experimental, so I am on asphalt runways and some grass airstrips right now and I'm not sure what the best psi would be?? Empty weight is 1100 lbs...gross weight 1700 lbs.
I got the tires very slightly used, at a great price from a member on this list and just mounted them, tubeless, on my 6" Matco rims with Matco's tubeless conversion kit, which worked very well.
Thanks, Don...

I used to run mine between 8 and 12psi on my SuperCub and never had any trouble spinning then on the rim, just make sure you clean the beads real good before you mount the tires.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
Don, you are tubeless as I ran them, so a little movement probably won't matter. I would start at 8 and experiment from there. I ran them at 4-5 but I was only 730lb empty.

Emmet, nothing like getting the straight scoop from the guy who sold them to me
I love the tires, they are everything you said they were...they'll be going on next Sunday and I'll follow your directions. Thanks.
