What's an Elmendorf?
Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.
I checked it out, it looks mostly like an assortment of various Cessna parts, other than the vertical stabilizer.

Looked it up in the registry, and its just named after the builder. It is in the amateur category. Elmendorf is just the guys last name looks like.

There was an article about it in Sport Aviation years ago. Basically a homebuilt 182 type airplane. As I recall he only used a couple bulkheads and the landing gear from a 182. The rest was built from scratch.

Not counting personal injury, I find homebuilt wrecks to be the saddest type of wrecks.

Nimpo Lake Logan... boonie SuperCubber
A buddy of mine also in the crane biz got the job to pick it up and hauled off. He's a pilot also so the whole process hopefully didn't cause any further damage. Sad indeed.
Wrecksburg/Rexburg... an inside joke between myself and some others who have had some "minor" incidents there over the years. Nothing wrong with the airport, they just need to change the name.
