Hi Tim. In Oregon the speed limit on the beaches is 25 mph. Some beaches are only street legal vehicles. Other beaches are open to ohv with an ohv sticker, the operator has to have a state issued ohv permit and a flag that is 8' off the ground.
If you feel like having some interaction with the MAN go for it. Let us all know how it works out.
Now if you land at ODNRA Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area with the a fore mentioned equipment, and land on what we refer to as the drag strip you will IMO be legal. There is no speed limit.
I was told by a little birdie, if you poach a beach, make sure it has no immediate access by road, no walkers, and don't stay long. Small N numbers are a plus too. Remember, if the orange hele lands you better be working on the engine. Must of been carb ice. Yea, yea carb ice must have caused the rough engine.
I say anyone who can land on the interstate and get a Highway Patrol ride to the gas station and have them block the road so they can take off should have no problem on a patch of sand. (sarcasm)
Cheers....Rob
