If you will ever need to land @ Whitehorse, Yukon for fuel/whatever, please write to the City & voice your opinion on keeping the floatbase on Schwatka lake alive & well for transient float planes.
This is an important stop for float planes flying north/south. Their request begins:
Dear friend aviators! You asked to be kept in the loop so here it is... I do understand that there are only 5 days left to make your voice heard and I apologize for sending you this document on such short notice. Attached is our submission to the City of Whitehorse in regards to the proposed Schwatka Lake Area Plan. You still have until September 1st to make your voice heard and submit your point of view.
If you were able to tap into your contacts, spread the document and have as many folks as possible fire an e-mail to the City of Whitehorse, it would be greatly appreciated but mostly, it will make a huge impact if aviators from all over North America send in their comments... If we are not aggressive towards this, we are in real danger of loosing our one and only float base in Whitehorse...thus shutting down the door for inland travels.
COPA Yukon Chapter 106 seeks your assistance with this matter once again,
Thank you kindly for taking a minute or two to reply to the City.
Send emails to: [email protected] and [email protected]
Cheers, J-M
