Lots of money changed hands with the Wright patents and progress slowed immensely following the immediate grounding of others aircraft. This could explain some of the denial strategy of the Wrights. Whitehead's proof was a long time in coming and hard to come by, but the first flight appears to be well documented by standards of the day, and it's believable. Still I am very cautious when it comes to rewriting history. With computer imaging I expected they would have done better in reproducing the photo of the actual flight. Maybe that comes later.
A good read and a good find CU.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
Does this mean we'll all end up with a different persons likeness embedded on our ticket!
