"Wild Bill" Walker died in air show accident
Debrief, share, and hopefully learn from the mistakes of others.
Wild Bill was killed doing a heart shaped plume in his Yak 52. They are scheduled to fly at Sun N Fun this week. God Bless his family and friends...

I have had the pleasure of knowing and flying with Bill along with a couple of the other Red Thunder members. Bill was an excellent pilot and good friend to many. He will be sorely missed around this aviation community. In my experience with Bill he would indeed say "the show must go on"...he did it becouse he loved it.
I wrote this blog just after being asked to fly a missing man formation to which my son asked what that formation was for. I did not realize how quickly it would again become a reality with pilots and friends in this airshow season.
