Winter Reading

I have made some "out-take" copies of chapters 12,13,14 from the AVIATION HISTORY OF THE CENTRAL IDAHO WILDERNESS.

I will mail copies to those who send me a snail mail address.

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Iceman and others

I have had several PMs requesting that I e-mail the out-takes.
Problem is that I can only send snail mail copies.
There are 22 pages that would need to be attatched.
I would rather eat the postage to pass on the history.
Am working a 12 days., plus taking care of elderly lady afer work.

SOO, just PM me you address
OR, e-mail me:

[email protected]

This is quicker than logging on each time

Wanabe,

Got the package yesterday and read it last night. GREAT STUFF! It's funny to read about Arnold as the new kid in the neighborhood. He's only been for what, 30 years now? Thank you so much for sharing this history.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Wanabe,
Thanks, it was a good read, I liked the story where Frances put a rock in the windsock to convince Jim there was no wind so that he would land with her supplies

thanks again

Hey thanks Wanabe, I got the articles. I knew most of the stuff but the really early history was very interesting. :D

Minor problem seems to have raised it's goofy head.

A rather kind young gentleman has informed me that he only got the ODD pages. Claims this left him with some problem about continuity of the plot and charackters.

IF, you also have gotten a rotten eversion without the even pages just let me know and I will re-send an ammended version, hopefully with ALL the pages.

Sorry bout dat.

Chris

PS Quickest for me is if ya e-mails me [email protected]

But if ya'all's prefer to go ingognito I can always long on agin

winter reading

I have a book called "Tall Timber Pilots" that is the early history of the Johnson brothers flying service. They opened up the entire area of western Montana and central Idaho. It is a very good book if you can find a copy.

I would like to read the items you refer to, my email is [email protected] and my snail mail is PO Box 250 Haines Ak. 99827

Thanks

Some more winter reading: I can't find it now, but somewhere on one of the airplane discussion sites, someone posted a recommendation for a book called Our Flight To Adventure, by Lowell Thomas Jr. He later had a TV show with a similar name, as I recall. Anyway, him & his wife bought a new Cessna 180 in 1954, taking delivery of it in Paris France, and proceed to fly it about halfway down the west coast of Africa, across Africa to Egypt, across the middle east thru Iran (where they met the young Shah) all the way to Pakistan, and then meandered their way back to France. They end the trip by pulling the wings & shipping the airplane home in a DC6. Interesting book, kinda light on the actual flying details, but a real good read none the less.
BTW, their 180 is still flying, currently registered to someone in New Hampshire.
