Wisconsin Pre Buy

Hello all. I have been lurking for a few years, and finally made an account. I have been looking for my first airplane and found a Citabria 7ECA I like. The problem is I am in Wyoming and it is in Wisconsin. Does anybody here happen to know a mechanic in the Eau Claire area who would be able to perform a good pre buy examination on a fabric aircraft? Thanks!

Re: Wisconsin Pre Buy

Welcome here. I would ask him to bring it to the factory at Rochester and have them do a prebuy. It's not far away and they obviously know their planes better then anyone.

Factory would be good if they can make time...I use Kubick Aviation In Iron Mountain, Michigan..less than 100 miles away...very reputable shop...they do my annuals ...I fly from Texas to give them the airplane. Good luck

Thank you for the welcome! I also liked the idea of taking it to the factory, but the current owner is reluctant to travel that far. I will have to look into Kubick Aviation. It's nice that they're so close.

Thank you for the offer! I did manage to find someone local for the prebuy, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the airplane!
