worlds fattest airport cat and living Pterosaur

I stopped in a the Flying Y this morning on the way back into Idaho from a Montana trip, (MT48), if you've never been there it is worth it just to meet Duane, the owner of Paradise Flying Service. A WWII aviator of note, and a very long time presence in the Yellowstone/Livingston area. He's been providing aerial tours and other flying duties there for a very long time, be sure to sign the guest book as he has been battling to keep the strip open and the more that drop in the better usage wise.

He does have a cat problem, this thing had to be pushing 30 lbs!

He always has a few interesting projects going on, (that's Duane holding the kitty) and when I took off I noticed deer and antelope grazing a couple hundred yards away, the strip is a great intro to the Yellowstone area, it only gets better.Image

I just googled him to get the airstrip identifier, and found this youtube vid on his sighting of a pterosaur, like I said, a real interesting guy =D>

I always see and wonder about that strip when I drive the Paradise Valley, seems like an interesting character for sure. Might have to stop next time!
