Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Yellow Pine (Johnson Creek) Harmonica Festival 2014

For years we've wanted to check out this festival and this year the stars aligned to make it happen. I was able to make the mad dash from work and get back Friday night in time to launch Saturday morning. My neighbor and hanger buddy, along with his wife, had flown up the day before. As an added bonus, my dad also drove up from southern Idaho. Glidergeek was there from southern CA as well and it was good to catch up with him.

This was the liveliest I've seen Yellow Pine. Lots of venders selling their wares and food. Both taverns were open as well as the Silver Dollar. The music was great and watching the Master's Jam was well worth the wait through the warm afternoon. Phil and Roxy were running shuttles to and from the strip every couple of hours. Pretty cool little festival and I'm glad we made the effort to get up there despite getting rained on a little bit Sunday morning. I'd like to get up there another time, maybe sans kids, and be able to spend the whole evening since the music played until midnight. If you get the chance, I'd check this one out!

Always good to be back to Johnson Creek. 37 aircraft Saturday night.

The harmonica festival is a good time, haven't been there in a few years but used to go every year for a while. Glad you guys had fun, I think the town briefly gets about 100x its normal size. Always thought it was funny that a town with a population of about 30 has two bars.

That's great, Cory! My daughter and I did the Harmonica Festival two years ago and had a great time. She especially enjoyed all the dog competitions: Cutest, Ugliest, best trick etc. I recall that for best trick, one guy had his pooch get a can of beer out of a cooler strapped on his ATV and bring it to him in a camping chair. :D

Nice! There were a lot of dogs there. The best I saw was this Bob Marley poodle.
