Not sure what really happened but end result is the pilot was killed.

Can't tell why it crashed from the pix, but it doesn't look like it was a result of the factors listed in the NTSB warning. The NTSB found that the 601's wings were breaking off in cruise flight conditions (3 or 4 separate incidents). This plane obviously has both wings attached and it was reportedly taking off when it started having problems. Purely from statistics, I'd bet the crash investigation concludes with an engine problem.
