Hi, I own 4 Cessna 182's all with L/R/S 0-470 engines, so I'm pretty familiar with those models of the 0-470. Last week I a bought a Cessna 180 that has a very low time 0-470K, which I know very little about. How does it compare to my L models? Seem's like most 180's now have L or R engines installed, is there a reason people move away from the K model?
Any info would be great!

K is a great engine! Also makes a great core for the -50 (520) Pponk.

If it looks smooth, it might be. If it looks rough, it is...www.bigtirepilot.com ...www.alaskaheliski.com
K and L are the same engine except the oil pan and the induction "Y". Those two things changed to accomodate the nose gear on the 182.
