108 on floats in PDX... are you out there?
Information and discussion about seaplanes, float planes, and water operations.
Was out and about on the Willamette river with family around Lake Oswego area, and kept seeing a maroon colored Stinson 108 with yellow stripe on floats flying over. He looked like he was having a ball. Just wondered if you're on here, Mr. Stinson?

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
I love the looks of those Stinson's on floats. Good performing planes with the right engine.
I was sooooo close to buying RHyppa's 220 powered Stinson on floats when he sold it. If only that engine could burn mogas, I would have had it.

Met him last weekend. He is selling. Sounds like a heck of a nice plane- and it's taken him and his wife to some very, very cool places. He has an incredible 180 and it sounds like it was tough for him to decide which one to sell.

I have noticed his airplane for sale at C-SPA.org as well. I have been tempted to go look at it, but...I am not really in a position to buy. Its a shame he is selling it and the seaplane community in PDX is getting smaller.
