You need to quit feeding the kid, he's big enough! What a great way to celebrate reaching the ripe old age of 16. And, though maybe not obvious, I can see many advantages to soloing on that "terrain."

Yes, the advantages include a lot of open space. That was offset by the lack of landing cues, and the flat lighting.
Also, all beware of wheel operations on snow. Snow depth Sunday was about 1-2"; that is fine.

And yes, we're hoping that he's done growing!
