Hi-New to the forum. Here is a pic of the nose fork on an R172E (T-41). The R172E only lists 6.00 x6 tires all the way around and the "206" fork on the equipment list. My parts manual lists the PN's.... Nose Fork 1243623-2, Bolt AN5-17A, Washer AN960-516L, and Nut NAS679A5.
The strut is a little underinflated in the pic and once I inflated it to the proper PSI the plane seems to have a more nose high attitude compared to a standard 172. It does require a bit more flare to hold the nose wheel off the ground, but I have a skid on the tail and I have yet to drag it. When I get a little more adventurous I may try to the tundra tire worksheet/field approval and go to a 7.00 up front and 8.00 on the mains.
