180 Busted in Flagstaff

So went out to do some pics of a broken Tilt Rotor marooned on our ramp, only to find Homeland Security parked in front of an Oregon based visiting 180. Seems they had stopped for the night and offloaded some herbs, but did it in full view! So the Homelanders where parked in front awaiting a warrant.
Looks like the Marshals Service will be auctioning a nice 180 in the future.
Gee, we passed a medical herb law here, but I guess you just can't offload a 180 full of it on the public ramp yet. Just as I was feeling the onset of a horrible bout of glaucoma.

Just a couple of months ago a 2 guys got busted in a 172 full of pot at a public airport not 10 miles from me. Are the highways that risky that you have to fly your pot in spam cans?

A bonanza was busted here a few weeks ago by a dood from California. I don't get it - we've fully legalized it - and it's damn near legal in Cali. Why would you risk it? I need to watch the federal auctions for that 180. I know a guy that "stole" a pristine restored 90hp cub at a similar auction here in Boulder - former owner is up the river for a ponzi embezzlement scheme. I don't want to say what he got the thing for, but man he got a great deal.

Did Wiseman Aviation lend them the golf cart to get their goods out to the parking lot? I always get great service up there.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
Apparently the two lads had their own roller carts. Not much traffic up here at the moment, so they parked real close. I think Orville did get their credit card information before they where led off. I mean somebody has to pay for the tie down. I think the really big black cat, Hawkeye, was the one that alerted on their bag. Catnip is closely related.
Using a plane to move the stuff is kind of dim. They must seize 40-50 tons a year on I-40 here. So that means at least 2,000 plus is making it through. The usual profile, comically, is elderly folks in motor homes. Granddad was looking for a bit of extra cash.
The unfortunate part is the airplane will not be auctioned off for about 4-5 years. By then it should be a heap.

Those fat black cats in the office are sneaky. Just lay there looking like they don't give a crap.... then pounce on the weed. Can't trust a cat.
Could have landed in Seligman... no one around. But I guess it is too far from the University and sales opportunities.
