182F Rear Windows

Hey guys,

Need to replace the two piece rear window on my 1963 182F. LP Aero or Great Lakes? Any tips on replacement?

Re: 182F Rear Windows

Both good products in my opinion. Get a good helper that knows how to handle a bucking bar or rivet gun. Take your time, clean everything well before reassembling. Mask a 1/4” inch line and use B 1/2 proseal for the fillet seal on the outside. Prettty simple job, clean and meticulous will prevent future leaking. Good luck!

Re: 182F Rear Windows

I've found that I need less trimming with LP. But they are both good products. For the rear windows I'd go with a darker tinted personally.

Re: 182F Rear Windows

I've always liked clear windows and crystal clear.at that. I gave my friend my opinion when we did all 5 of his Maule windows. He said thanks but I'm going solar gray...

After we were done I became converted to gray forever!!

Good luck! Do those two back windows while your at it and you'll learn lots of new words :D :D :D
