Well my 185 is almost done, paint is complete and nearly got all the electronics worked out. The Caravans have been giving me too much BS to deal with lately, so the 185 has lagged. It looks like I can go finish the panel install and bring it home just after Quanza, now that the world didn't explode. We where real lucky the invisible planet just missed us.

This should work out very nice, I put waaay too much fancy stuff in the panel, but I got a real deal on the items. So it will have the Aspen pro, an S-Tec 30 with Altitude, Garmin 650, SL-30, P&S 8000BT, Garmin GTX330 and an MVP-50P. The right side of the Panel will be blanked off. I may just put a Ram Ball mount in the middle so I can attach the iPad or the Garmin 796 for weather.

So just finish rigging all the controls, swing the Aspen, test fly the S-Tec and a mound of 337 and a really long logbook entry. Then I can fly it home.

Looks good!! Can't wait to see the finished project.

Hey, the 185 looks good. What coating are you going to use on the aluminum panel?

I am leaning towards powder coating. It worked out well on the Birddog's panel, there just are not that many colors to select from. Not being very inclined to show tunes, I have trouble matching up tasteful colors. I am trending to a very light to off-white grey.

BTW, the thermal paste for the iPad is supposed to go on your fingertips not your palms, and it should be Artic SIlver brand. Just what where you doing with a greasy substance on your palms anyhow, gloves or not?
