185 Amphib pre buy NH

Hey guys

I might have found a 185F amphib in New Hampshire that I'm interested in.

Does anyone have a A&P they would recommend in S. NH for a pre buy/annual?

Already have the FAA records CD ordered.

Also any good things to check on the pre buy
I know about the gear box, corrosion, and general stuff, any specifics on type?

The plane is a 185F, 520, on edo amphibs with the engine driven pump.

I highly recommend Paul Zanis at Moultonboro. He's been my mechanic for 6 years and has extensive experience, terrific skills and doesn't miss a thing.

Re: 185 Amphib pre buy NH

Congratulations! A friendly recommendation....get a thorough and intense check out from an instructor who is very familiar with both the 185 and those floats. Those aren't the easiest floats to get to perform, and there is a strong tendency to overload them.

Good luck!
