185 rear seats

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Do you have a Mfg name / Model number for those map lights? Your plane looks fantastic!

Re: 185 rear seats

G2, Great looking mods, should be a real sweetheart to operate. Thanks for installing those gear mirrors. I firmly believe that mirrors, and regular use of them, provides the best available insurance from a landing with gear in an inappropriate position.

Congratulations on making a great airplane even better.

Re: 185 rear seats

MTV - the mirrors are great. No question about gear position. One on each wing allows the pilot to check gear on both sides.

The install doesn't call out for any explicit location, so you are still good if you wanted to go that route. For Goose's 185, I'm installing the block on the top center of the firewall. This is a a bit better location as it doesn't preclude the install of the FA bat box. I also have lots of real estate due to the fact that the vac pump is now gone... There is also room for the block under the FA box if needed. Of course w/ a 24v late model 185 it gets a bit more tricky...

Re: 185 rear seats

I got a PM question that I didn’t see. For some reason, private messages don’t come through on TapaTalk on my iPad. Who knew?
In any event, the question was the part number for the rocker switches from the TTx that I had installed on the panel in my 185. The number is 7R0063. Sorry about the delayed response (about a year delay!).

Are those the row of on/off rockers on your panel? Where did you get them? I tried that PN on spruce and nothing came up, but I'm sure interested.

Re: 185 rear seats

I got them through Ace Aviation in Renton, Washington. Ace has been doing the work. They confirmed the part number for the two-pole on/off rockers as 7R0063. There is also one switch that is a three-way switch that I use for taxi lights (narrow beam in cowl on) and pulse lights (recognition pulsing of wing lights and cowl lights). The center position is OFF and the other two positions (up and down) are for taxi/pulsing. That part number is 7R0066. I searched Google for Cessna part number 7R0063 and came up with a number of hits, including https://www.cessnaparts.com/?s1=7r0063& ... arch+Parts

So, it looks as though you should be able to order them directly or through an avionics shop.

Again, sorry for the long delay in responding.
