2012 BCP calendars

In another thread someone expressed a desire to have some of the great shots we see here turned into a calendar. This is pretty poor timing to be working on this now, but I can probably get it together in time to enjoy some days of the January page. That, or we have a Feb 2012 to Feb 2013 calendar.

Shutterfly has a bulk discount. Lulu.com has an even better one. I can prob get these out the door for $12-15. Need to research.

Photos have to be submitted directly to me by the original photographer in an email to authorize having them printed. Please send high res images with a statement that BCP is authorized to use and reproduce your photographs commercially, free of any fee or compensation, to [email protected].

I'll choose the best of the bunch. Photographers will get credit. Please include location of the photo(if not a big secret) and your BCP username, and whether you want the photo credited with your real name or username. As requested (and I agree), submissions are only accepted from BCP registered members. As mentioned earlier, the photo must be owned by you.

We can add significant dates, probably for fly-ins and air shows if you guys like.

Let me know. Like the clothing, I usually have to plop down some $$$ up front so it's nice to gauge interest.

Good memory. I had forgotten that was me on that suggestion. I'm in for a double order but I won't be in the pictures this year.

Re: 2012 BCP calendars

I like picutures of about any airplane but it would really be cool if it could include the airport--such as JC, etc. I really would be okay with any photo--BCP or not--though I am sure there would be more than enough to pick from this august body of pilots. I know that my wife really likes when she can get a 16 month calandar, just an idea Great idea Zane--keep up the good work. It would also be nice to have a little information about the plane, pilot, area, etc under the photograph.

Re: 2012 BCP calendars

I would buy a few. One for home, a couple for work, some more as gifts....Calendars as gifts are a great way to share interest in back country planes. It would be particularly interesting if the calendars had pix of some backcountry birds in their natural element....mud, sand, dirt, water, grass, hillsides, mountaintops..et etc...and preferably BCP.org planes. No hangar queens please.

Re: 2012 BCP calendars

If we started now getting photos from each month this year for the same months in the 2013 Calendar the seasons would all match and photos would be very relevant to the month. And it would give us 12 photo contest opportunities this year to represent next year.
Just a thought. I have enough 2012's for every room in the house but would plan ahead for next year .

I agree to plan ahead for a 2013 calendar but would wait till October type a thing so that we can use summer of 2012 photos...there will be plenty of "hot" ones!!

I am still in for a 2012 flying calendar for sure though...actually 4-5 of them
