2013 Johnson Creek BCP Raffle

It's that time of year, and at this point I'm playing catch-up finding raffle donations for the 2013 BCP fly-in. I would like to thank all our sponsors from last year found HERE. It would be amazing to see that type of support again. The backcountry pilot community never ceases to amazing me.

The raffle will be held just like last year, ticket sales will purchased at the fly-in and your ticket must be present to win. The raffle will be held the Saturday night of the fly-in (June 29th) after the pot-luck. The cost per tickets will remain at $10.00, and all proceeds will once again go to the Recreational Aviation Foundation and Idaho Aviation Foundation. Tickets will be available for sale each afternoon and before the raffle.

If anyone has any suggestions or donations, please let me know. And if anyone would like to donate some of their time and energy toward the raffle, please send me a PM. 8)

Some great stuff has coming in already.

I understand George. Doing online ticket sales adds a lot time and complexity to the raffle process. At this point, this is just something I can't tackle. I'm devoting as much energy as I have towards raffle donations. If someone would like to take on the online sales portion please PM me. Perhaps those who can't attend could still make a donation to the RAF or IAF and mention the BCP.org fly-in the comments.

Re: 2013 Johnson Creek BCP Raffle

For the third year in a row both Univair and FlyTies have showed their support.

Univair donated 3 gift certificates (1 @ $ 50 and 2 @ $25) good for anything they carry. Also, if you have never been by their location, it's really cool to see. These folks are wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them.
Image

FlyTies donated a complete aircraft tie down kit. Please check out their website for details: http://www.flyties.com/
Image

Also, if you get the opportunity, please say THANK YOU to all our raffle supporters. If you buy something down the road, put it in the comments box that you appreciate the BackcountryPilot.org fly-in raffle donation. ;) It never hurts to say thanks and it sure makes them feel this is a worthy cause.

If you relax the requirement that you must be present to win - or at least let me send a proxy - I'd love to give my money to the cause. I mean 'cause I want that heli-skiing trip! :P

As previously stated, I simply don't have the time or energy to effectively carry out the online portion of the raffle (the first year was a real eye opener). Next year, if someone wanted to tackle that project I would be more than willing to help assist. I wish I weren't so busy with other commitments, but such is life. :(

I'm very proud of the community members here for stepping up year after year with donations to the raffle. This is awesome!

Remember these business names and spread the word that they deserve our business.

If anyone is looking to win an Alaskan Bushwheel fuel bag, the raffle now has 2! The fine folks at Alaskan Bushwheel have donated two portable Bushwheel bags (5.2/gal each) and a few other goodies. =D>

A big thanks to the crew at Alaskan Bushwheel for all their support over the years! If you get time, stop by Joseph to check out their headquarters and fly home with some new rubber. :D
