You weren't invited! Zzz tell him he is not invited! Ah, man......this ruins everything.

If you buy him enough beer I'm sure the problem will take care of itself quickly. 8)

Yeah.....I have tried that trick, it doesn't work. It'll be cheaper for me to pay for a cab ride for him to the Bush Company.

On a separate note, the Millennium is remodeling, and the staff told me they are way, way behind schedule. Might be worth it to call and confirm your rooms.

Re: 2015 Airman's Show

I'm on Alaska Airlines flight 137 from Portland, arriving ANC 3:35.

Millenium was booked and I got a good package deal at the Alex, which looks to be a short walk or stumble back to bed.

I look forward to putting a few more faces to names.

Pierre

PS I'm departing from PDX 'cause Reno has poor connections and the savings almost pays my gas to fly myself up to PDX to catch the nonstop! Anyone from Reno-Tahoe area wanna go, hop in. I'm solo this trip. RT + 3 nights hotel even at this late date was only $650.

I'm so ready for this. Weather outlook is good. Work schedule is good. Not sure where I'm gonna park the airplane yet, but that's not gonna stop me.

Re: 2015 Airman's Show

I'll be wandering around at the tradeshow this weekend if I don't have any flying to do. The Regal crew typically haunts the Mil or Gwennies for some brews, sounds like it'll be a good time!

2015 Airman's Show

No, seriously. Where does a person park fan airplane for the weekend to attend the show? I know there is parking just for the show, but I'm coming for the weekend. I heard tha lake hood's transient fills up quick. Is there transient at Merrill? I'm also tracking show parking at international, but I'm assuming that's not for those staying down there the whole weekend.

Little guidance from some locals would be appreciated.

Re: 2015 Airman's Show

Merrill has load of transient parking. Bunch of spots at the "old tower" is a good place. We have campground transient with picnic tables and tent spots. There is also transient at the base of the new tower but I avoid keeping airplanes right next to 5th ave for lots of reasons. Oh Merrill has a gravel runway that was built on top of the old city dump. It's where all the bush wheel planes park. They have transient parking. Basically the best spot is the base of the old tower. They have bathrooms and the taxis know where it's at.

OK, so I missed beer with the BCP guys to attend wine tasting with my wife ... and it was good! Sorry I missed you this evening but wondering if there is a scheduled rendezvous at the show tomorrow?

Re: 2015 Airman's Show

Wow I am so Jealous. It's crunch time at my work right now so no chance of going this year. I hope to make the next one. Even more so hope to fly my own plane there, but that last one may be a pipe dream.

Zane, did the mounts arrive in time for you to bring them with you on this trip? Are you also going to Valdez?

Have fun everyone and post lots of Pics,

Best regards,

Marc

Re: 2015 Airman's Show

The show has been really cool; so many goodies in one place and the people who make them.

Ran into Paul Claus meeting his returning 180 from Iceland. It turned into a party at the fuel pump.

Then we somehow found our way into a hangar party on Lake Hood.

Good times! Meeting a lot of people who were formerly only usernames.

Marc, I did get the mounts rights before I left. Thanks! Getting out of town was crazy but I have meant to let you know that. Will hopefully put one to use the next few days.
