I've lost photos & stuff (twice so far) when a computer went gunnysack on me, and I have no doubt it'll happen again. Don't want to lose my flying records when that happens, and I don't see the point in keeping an electronic logbook plus a paper backup.
I carry my current logbook (I think I'm on my 4th, after 20 years of flying) in the airplane, and fill it out when I get out of the plane for the last time after a day's flying. If you can remember and/or bother to enter the flight(s) in an electronic logbook app, why not just do the same in a paper logbook?

I use both to back each other up.

I have used Logbook Pro for going on 10 years. It's a good app that can dissect your flying six ways to Sunday if needed. That becomes really handy if you're applying for a job and they want to know how much time you have in certain categories. You can also print in multiple formats, Jeppson logbook being one of them. As Brett mentioned, the app on the phone makes it easy to enter and sync so it's always up to date. They offer a backup service so between the backup on my home computer and their backup, I really don't worry about ever loosing my information.

I'm interested in Foreflight's but I think I'll give it a bit to get any bugs worked out. I'm not thrilled that they have jacked up the price and added the logbook into the pro package. I'd rather that it was just an add on. If it's a viable option, it would be great to loose the subscription to Logbook pro, but if it's not, then I'm paying more for Foreflight pro for features I don't use.

Oops! I spoke too soon. I just got on their site and read the fine print. You can still choose the pro version and add option ala carte.

I use MyFlightbook.com, as well as the iPhone/iPad app. It's quick, easy, and free. And like many others here, I print off the "recent activity" periodically to keep the paper log current. But I also "export" the log to CSV form and upload it to DropBox for backup, just in case MyFlightbook.com ever goes out of business.

To answer someone's question about why we should bother keeping anything but paper logbooks: Paper logs are subject to fire and water damage (ask me know I know...), and hard drives can fail as well. Keeping a copy both ways, AND having the exported data available to reload to another service is a good idea, in my opinion. But then, I'm kind of a "belt+suspenders" guy when it comes to stuff like this!
