Saturday, Sunday WX forecast looks good to transit The Cascade Mountains. Would definitely like to fly to the high desert at least once before Hawaii.

It’s freezing in Bend, Oregon this morning. Love ❤️ it.

I love flying this time of the year! And it’s beautiful in Central Oregon. I would try to keep that a secret but ‘they’ have already figured it out! It’s 32 at my house this morning...I’m just not there to enjoy it. Been getting down to 29 over night!

I agree Ted, let’s find a time to fly together sooner that later. There’s a great backcountry ranch that serves breakfast a little east of KRDM. http://sunrisevalleyranch.com/. They want you to call ahead and fly over the house when you get there. Might be a fun stop for you if you have nothing else going on.

After Facebook constructed a Titanic Size data center in Prineville, the word got out! Definitely, some of the most beautiful high desert on earth.

I’ll take you to lunch in the chopper one of these days! And thank you for the guidance on breakfast.

Amended: destination Redmond, KDRM because AIRMET for IFR in the valley. Didn’t want to wait until 11:00PDT.

Flew to Powers (6S6) instead. Power is Da Kine friendly backcountry! Did not want to leave back to KONP!
