The snow is almost gone from the coast of Oregon. Mary’s Peak has some but it’s melting fast. I surveyed the Selitz and Alsea River Valley for some easy LZs. There are too many farms and homes nearby so, in the interest of noise abatement, I stopped at Wakonda Beach. It was sunny and 55F, felt like Spring Season for sure. (3) days until Equinox.

2020.03.17 PIREP: The airstrip is a little soft. Tail draggers/bush tires are recommended. I know several people who have had horrendous accidents there. Operated at own risk!
