Note on the takeoff video how quickly it gets smaller.... an effect of the fisheye lense and great acceleration, it was really up and outa there in short order. I had to figure out how long to wait to miss any vortices, the time seemed about right, I'm not used to taking off of my strip behind monster Lycoming powered aircraft and was a bit cautious! I may have to let a couple hundred feet of the strip grow over, it apparently is not short enough to pose much of a challange to bigger aircraft, and half is still more then I need. The extra length is handy though for downwind landings and less then cruise RPM takeoffs, nice and quiet departures that way, so I guess I'll keep it mowed full length
