WX forecast is for rain again tomorrow (Thursday) with improving conditions Friday through the weekend (wind is not forecast to be a factor through the period). In the interest if dry tenting, we will gather here at the hangar and consider staying in or near the hangar/lounge Friday. On Saturday morning we can go to the Lewistown flyin for breakfast, then investigate camping in the Breaks Saturday night if we can find dry spaces. I have discovered that the strips dry out fast while the camping areas stay wet in the tall grass. For those showing up Friday night we will have light dinner stuff on the grill between 6:00 and 7:30ish. More tomorrow....fly safely and enjoy the scenery....it is spectacular and you will be seeing Montana rivers at the peak of 100 year flood stage. Melissa and I look forward to seeing you. Ralph

That sounds like fun. We're looking at flying from here (Worland, WY) to Cut Bank, MT (old home) this weekend if the weather works. Maybe we can make a stop along the way!

Guys...be sure to swing by the hangar in Winifred (9S7) before headed out to Cow Creek.... WX will determine where we are. Fly safe. R

Thanks Ralph,
In June of 2008 my son and I ended up at Winfred, after camping out at Cow Creek the night before. It was pouring down raining. After skud running to Winfred in our Maule we ended up staying overnight. You loaned us your pickup while you were out of town for the weekend and arranged a place for us to stay in the local Bank Building/Hotel. We then went on to Johnson Creek the following day and to other Idaho/Montana airstrips.
I am completely out of sync here. If I'd been paying attention we would be coming out this weekend for your fly in and then on to Johnson Creek. I just had not been following the developments and now have other committments. I am putting Winfred and Johnson Creek on my calendar for next year.
Ralph....If you will P.M. me or post your mailing address.....I owe you a favor for your kindness and have not been back your way to offer. Please let me hear from you.
Bob

I have the TCM O-200, but was flying with a J-3 so running about 2200 rpm instead of 2525 for 75% power.
