Just got back from a great trip. That was awesome! Let's do it soon again!

Thanks Rob and Lisa for letting us crash your anniversary party... :D

Great to see Highroad and family, Zane and dad, and Alex as well.

What a sweet place!

Re: 6/12-13 Lucas Lodge

The wife and I stay Saturday night and part of Sunday. It was our anniversary.

Call first. Don't even think of landing here if you are not mountain flying proficient. The strip is emergency only, but mowed and opened for the emergency lunch, dinner, over night stay. The owners are very worried about law suites.

No go around short final!

The weather was perfect. Other BCP pilots who came. Zane and Dad Joel, highroad (Brent, Heidi, Mattie, and 2 1/2 week old new son) From Bend, Alex, from Ashland Oregon180(Kristen, Valerie, Sixten, and Daughter) as I remember their names I edit. I need more coffee.

My wife of 23 years. I have a wonderful wife. Fly camping with pilot friends on anniversary =D> .

Re: 6/12-13 Lucas Lodge

Thanks Rob for heading up a great outing. It was fun to meet up with you guys. That Agness approach tops my list of all-time fun approaches. We have a friend who used to fly under the bridge on his approach, probably more because he could rather than any other reason.

This place is about 25 miles from where I grew up, so it was a special occasion to finally drop in by air. Always good to see the local BCP crew and catch up.

Looking south dropping into basin.

This guy almost became dogburger after I touched down, but he was a sweet pooch.

My old man did a good job coaching me into the strip, and couldn't stop telling his tale about the time he flew in there while the trees were dancing punching bags.

Nice Pictures Z,
I'm sporting the grass in my TW with pride also........been too long.

The approach over the Illinois and the bridge, then making the turn on short final to find yourself looking up a pretty steep hill and adding power while all along it felt like you were to high.........priceless.

Spotting traffic and keeping an eye on baby brother in the back seat calls for a good set of aviator glasses.......

Man, I look ridiculous!

Snoozing in the cabin Sunday morning to the sound of an O-300 and O-360 flying overhead........
