I've come to accept the fact that anything I enjoy watching puts others to sleep or offends their anti-nerd sensibilities. Flying videos, Star Wars, Modern Marvels all fall into this category.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

The title of this thread reminded me of a Canadian TV series I used to watch called North of 60. It was set in a little village in the Liard River/Fort Simpson country of NWT. Kind of a out-in-the-bush nighttime soap opera, but had a few flying/airplane scenes since the main way in/out was by airplane. I remember one scene where a 180 landing at the village airstrip groundlooped and ran a wing into a building. The local mountie accused the pilot of wrecking the airplane and he told her "that wasn't a wreck. I've been in lots of wrecks....that was nothing!". My kinda pilot!

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!

My family would agree with Jr. & Zane. My interests as far as video material is met with a not-so-concealed yawn.
A month or so ago, I received a short video from a friend in Washington. I had taken him flying out to the Coast for a day and while I knew he had a video camera, I didn't think much of it at the time and out of the blue he sent me a copy of the tape. Not too much out of the ordinary just nice recollections of the flight until I got to the end of the tape. I had picked him up at the Egg Ranch. A local private strip with all of the fun components. 5-7' terraces, a dog leg, narrow one way and big timber up close. One of my favorites. I dropped him off and left. Very light with a head wind. The plane leapt off the first terrace and climbed like a demon. I was fascinated! I had never seen my plane fly before. I do believe I have worn that 20 second section of tape out. The kids leave the room.

I forgot to mention that Erin refuses to watch video shot from the cockpit since she claims it makes her ill if it's the least bit shaky. My dad has some great video he shot from his ultralight flying down the river at treetop level. 5 minutes of it and Erin's like: "I"m gonna puke!"

60 degrees--my new favorite

I just got my copy of 60 degrees north at 500 ft. last Friday. I watched it 4 times over the weekend. My wife even liked it, but I'm very fortunate in that department. 60 Degrees is the best Beaver porn I've ever seen--even better than surfing DHC-2.com because they MOVE and the scenery is outstanding. If you like Beavers and floats, you'll love this video.
