One thirty on Wednesday I departed Troutdale. Got to a private grass strip called Nase OG41. The strip belongs to M7flyer's friend Chris. This is a tough little strip, a good challenge. You mess up and it's going to be ugly. I got to visit with Dave and Dee for awhile. Then Chris and Beth showed up and we headed to the planes and the flight over to Lucas Lodge where our 3 inflight emergency's would require us to land and have dinner.

The wx was as good as it gets. We had a wonderful dinner of salad, garlic bread, mashed potato's and gravy, fried chicken, tri tip steak, and ice cream parfait. All you could eat.

We then headed back taking the scenic route over the Rouge River. The sun was just setting and the light was beautiful! We dropped into a mountain top strip called Calvert Peak. A nice place at 3800MSL and 1600 feet long.

Another great trip to one of Oregon's gem's. Tricky cross wind getting in and no go around. Excellent food, camp fire, whiskey. Had the place all to ourselves. Cheers
