8.00/6.00 upgrade - 182F

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Re: 8.00/6.00 upgrade - 182F

Hey have any of you guys been directly involved with the installation of the 206 fork/block onto the standard 182 fork? I got the new fork and tires, got everything painted and dropped it off with my IA, but he was a little confused as to how to assemble it.

There are two bolt holes on my strut, a lower one for the fork, and an upper one for the linkage.

Also, is there a bolt size difference between the HD block and the standard linkage?

I’ve been running about 30 PSI in the mains (my airplane is hangared on an asphalt strip) and 25 in the nose for the last 16 months. On and off of grass strips most every flight. No issues.

As to the installation, mine came assembled. So I’m of no help. Sorry.

Curious to know what some see as real-world air speed loss is when running the 310 gear and bigger tire?

Speed loss between stock tires with no wheel pants and the new larger tires was negligible, I didn't do any before and after analysis but I definitely didn't notice any change.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of the paper work that says you can run a 700x6 in the HD fork would you?
