8/16/2008 - Maine Bushwacker Flyin - Rumford, ME

We are having our 2nd maine flyin aug 16th west of rumford,me. 1700 ft grass strip along the androscoggin river. Floats and wheels have plenty of parking. Camping welcome. We will have food and soda, keg of shipyard saturday after planes are ited down. Does that river strip have an identifier? I guess not if you're giving us the lat/long :)

Not yet. Sent in faa paperwork almost a year ago . They said i would have an inspection by last november and have not seen anyone yet.

Chris G from shortfield.com is making an effort to get uncharted strips documented, you should contact him to enter your airport info. Then we can look at it in the Shortfield Explorer.

Thanks, cool sat image. The image must be a few yrs old as i have hangar there for a few yrs. I will contact that site.

The steaks will be here friday and the keg of shpyard summer ale is in the cooler. Would really like to see you backcountry flyers. Praying for good weather. Plenty of food and drink. We have over 100 t=bone/ porterhouse for sat evening w corn on the cob. Sat during day hot dogs and burgers will be given away. Great jazz band sat evening.
