Northwest Antique Aircraft fly-in at McMinnville, OR (KMMV) on August 15,16,17, 2008.

This is a cool event, here's the thread from last year with some photos.

I should be there on saturday. If anyone else is going, let's meet up.

Anyone planning to attend this fly-in ? There will be a plane there I would like someone to take a quick look at and give me their thoughts. 1937 Fairchild. Drop me a not if you are headed that way.

Great fly-in. I'm planning on bringing the family there. We'll be camping saturday night.

I'm the yellow and white 180 with the "aerobatic" paint job. :)

Being that my daughter's summer graduation from OSU in Portland was Saturday, we decided to go down to McMinville on Friday to see the "Spruce Goose" for the first time. Just so happened that there was a Antique Fly-In beginning Friday. It was already starting to get busy when we arrived at about 09:30AM Friday. If you haven't seen the Spruce Goose, make sure you put it on your calender sometime. Its an absolutely world class museum. The Spruce Goose is gigantic. There's a B-17 parked near the tail of S.G. and the horizontal stabilizer of the Goose is every bit as wide as wing on B-17, maybe wider. I'll post a few pics on my photo page soon. We could only stay a few hours, so took off for Hillsborro as temp was approaching 100.
