Landed on 7/24/12 flying a Maule M6
Not a backcountry strip, but this is a great place to stop on your way into or out from the backcountry. Very friendly FBO. 3 courtesy cars. Betty's, about 2 miles east, is a fine choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Three courtesy cars? Wow, last time I went to Polson, there was one courtesy van with three tires. The 4th had a third of the outer tread missing and only the cords remained. We decided to use it anyway and flop, flop, flopped our way to our destination since it was close and we were half delirious with bargain hunting euforia. That's when the real adventure began.

The ad said "Low time Cessna T210, needs reassembly, I'm too old to finish--will sell to the first cash buyer with $20,000." Anyone ever got sucked into one of those?

The courtesy cars are quite nice and available even if no one it there. Also, the FBO has an apartment for rent in the bldg for $50/nite. Also a shower available on the ground floor.

And to top it off, Stene Aviation is on the field. Willie Stene is a BCP'r and a great guy who has a Highlander under construction.
