A big dark cloud over the Colorado High country.

Yes, it's true. The last few days we have had plenty of big dark clouds over the western slope and the high country. And it's about time. We need the rain badly. Got a couple of gully washers that drifted in from eastern utah. Good to help extinguish some of the big fires we have been dealing with.
Please be careful, some of the strips are getting soft and muddy.
As I was out bagging strips in my MX-plane I had to stick to the grassier ones because of the mud on a few of the desert ones.
The cool air in the morning mad for some pleasant flying and gave me an extra hour or two of flying both days before the heat built up.
Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Flash flooding on the front range yesterday. I don't mind - I'm just glad for the moisture to douse the flames.
