I thought this article was pretty good. Jack Norris is a pretty cool guy, he somehow gets awesome range out of his Luscombe.

Oh and I looked up how far Jack can fly his 8E and he routinely flies it 800 miles on 30 gallons. I think that is pretty darn good.
