I found a Stinson 108-3 with an 0-470-a for sale on Barnstormers in the Vegas area. I live in Alaska and am trying to find a good A&P to look it over. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I believe Paul is restoring a 108 for himself, and gives a good presentation on doing pre buy inspections for business aircraft. I'd definitely give him a call.

A guy I know up here, Dale, owns it or at least used to.
Ive never eyeballed it too close, but it seemed like a very nice airplane.
He said it was slower than his C180, but would out-climb it.

You don't want it. You want to buy the hangar mummy project that's in a hangar I'd like to buy Plane and hangar go together but I just don't need another project of any kind.

That sure looks like a nice plane, if you get it I hope it works out well for you. If you fly it back to Alaska you are welcome to stop over in Haines.

I bought a 108-3 years ago with a 0-470 in Bose, Id and flew it back to Mi. It was a real performer. You will enjoy it.
