Framework at the bottom of the seat. In reading your inquire, I couldn't understand it until I went back and re-read mine. "In between the feet" instead of "secured to the front of the seat" Tied it down to the exposed frame that supports the seats in a Maule. Fit just under the lip of the seat. There's not enough room to fit a battery between the feet/pedals let alone hardly a pac boot. But I belive your experience even covers Maules too, yes?
Eric, Yes, we live on a strip & a lake. Gravel at one end and a snow strip at the other so to speak.
And when we were back in Idaho, a wet hanky could be a struggle to carry at times. That area makes every pilot a morning person!

I had flown with loads that were nose light and I knew they were within CG at least at T.O. This trip was a bit different and I suspect out of CG due to the limit being reached with elevator trim. (I could be wrong and anybody with 206/207 experience can maybe know for sure) I know turning final and having to hold forward pressure and being out of trim is not a good feeling. I really wanted to point out the need to not be complacent about w/b even in a heavy hauler like the stationair...
